But, what if you are doing something right, something that serves you well? When you do have a set of effective life strategies, doesn’t it make sense to use them over and over again?

Habit is a fundamental part of human life. We all acquire behavioural patterns and follow them regularly until they become involuntary. But, whilst the habit of looking both ways before crossing the street can save your life, the habit of lighting up a cigarette every time you feel stressed, happy or bored may kill you.

There are habits that can serve you and habits that can destroy you. They happen automatically, unconsciously. The more they happen, the more powerful they become. They are imprinted in your unconscious through repetition.

The problem lies not with the repetition itself, but the repetition of something that doesn’t serve you.

It essentially translates into: it’s who you are that determines what you do, and consequentially what you have.

It all starts with who you are.

Our work will begin with a set of questions that will help you get clearer about who you really are and what you really want from life. We’ll focus on:

1. Self-awareness

Know thyself” This phrase is over 2,000 years old. It was chiselled into the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi and has been attributed to a long list of ancient sages and philosophers. It contains a fundamental truth: if you want to achieve fulfilment and personal happiness, you need to design your life based on who you really are.

You need to know who you really are –  your values, your beliefs, the purpose you want to pursue – in order to make the most of your life.

2. Your Sense of Direction

Once you really know who you are and what you want to achieve decision-making becomes easier. When you have a clear sense of direction you can eliminate anything that does not take you in the desired direction.

If you want to improve yourself the real key to success is to do less and do it better.

The secret is to identify the vital few things which take you in the direction you want to go with the greatest speed and least effort.
