Hypnosis for Stress Relief

Do you feel overwhelmed? Are you frustrated, fearful, angry? Are you depressed or anxious? Do you have heart palpitations? Are you feeling indecisive, defensive, or withdrawn? Do you have difficulties sleeping? Have you lost your sex drive? Are you normally a mild-mannered person, but find that you snap more often now and become physically or verbally aggressive?

If you’re reading this section, you’re probably experiencing stress in one or several of these forms. You’re not alone.

Stress is a widespread issue in the UK and one of the biggest challenges faced by people across the globe.

Between 75% and 90% of all doctors’ appointments in the UK are for stress-related conditions. The most common cause of stress is money, followed by work, health concerns and failure to get enough sleep.

Recent statistics

British adults experiencing stress regularly 85%
Women believing they are too stressed 42%
Men believing they are too stressed 36%
British residents feeling stressed for at least one full day a week 37%

Excessive stress can lead to a whole host of physical, psychological, emotional and behavioral problems. Stress can also be a killer, leading to more serious conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Hypnotherapy & NLP Are Amongst The Most Effective Treatments Available For Successfully Dealing With Stress

I can help you manage and reduce stress to a level that you are comfortable with. Working together we can relieve your stress and help you regain control of your life

Simply put, stress is your body’s method of reacting to a challenge.

It’s triggered by a variety of situations – a looming exam, a work deadline, money worries, an injury or illness, overwhelming responsibility, losing your job, isolation, moving house, bereavement, break ups, retirement, being a carer.

These types of situations can cause a waterfall of stress hormones that usually produce physiological changes.

When you sense danger—whether it’s real or imagined—the body’s defences kick into high gear. It’s a rapid, automatic process known as the ‘fight-or-flight’ reaction, or ‘the stress response’.

The stress response is the body’s way of protecting you. It is believed that this response has evolved as a survival mechanism, enabling us to react quickly to life-threatening situations.

When it works properly, the stress response helps you stay focused, energetic and alert.

In emergency situations, stress can save your life, giving you extra strength to defend yourself. When you feel threatened, your heart beats faster, your muscles tighten, your blood pressure rises, your breath quickens, and your senses become sharper. These physical changes increase your strength and stamina, speed up your reaction time, and enhance your focus—preparing you to either fight, or flee from the danger at hand. Stress can help you rise to meet challenges.

There’s even a type of stress that is actually beneficial to you. It’s called “Eustress” which is basically positive stress. ”Eu” is a Greek prefix here, meaning “good”, so basically the term refers to “good stress”.

Eustress has the following characteristics:

  • Motivates
  • Is short-term
  • Is perceived as being within our coping abilities
  • Feels good, exciting
  • Improves performance

But beyond a certain point, stress stops being helpful and starts causing damage to your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships and your quality of life.

Unfortunately, your nervous system isn’t very good at distinguishing between emotional and physical threats, between real or imaginary threats.

If you’re super stressed over an argument with your partner, a work deadline, or global warming, your body can react just as strongly as if you’re facing a true life-or-death situation.

And the more your emergency stress system is activated, the easier it is to trigger it, and the harder it is to shut off.

Conventional ways of tackling stress often involve medication. But instead of dealing with the underlying causes of stress, prescription drugs target the symptoms.

Medication will ease the symptoms, but only briefly. Continue taking it and you’re likely to be unable to function without it.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful weapon against stress. Unlike medicine, it’s entirely natural. There are no side-effects. You won’t get hooked on it.

Instead of covering it up, hypnotherapy gets to the root of the problem. It changes the way you respond to stress. It provides techniques to deal with the physical and emotional stressors in your life. It puts you back in control.

Using advanced Hypnotherapy & advanced NLP techniques, I can help you to address your stress, reduce your anxiety levels and even resolve your bad stress.

You are likely to begin experiencing positive changes after the first* session.

The results can be truly astounding.

Imagine – how would you feel, and what you would do with your life without stress holding you back? Do you want to find out? Book your appointment now.
